Democrats are rallying behind Vice President Kamala Harris and encouraging her to step up after President Biden stepped down in his bid for reelection against Donald Trump. Biden, still combating Covid, endorsed Harris from his sickbed, and it appears that the Democrats are following suit. There was concern about the party splitting because of genderism and racism in some circles, but it has not turned out that way, evident by the millions of dollars raised in one day. According to the Harris campaign, this is the largest amount of money raised in one day for any Presidential campaign in history. A call hosted on Sunday evening, July 21st, 2024, by the group “Win with Black Women” brought in $1.6 million alone, Team Harris said.
